A fire broke out in a carpentry workshop in the Israeli town of Neve Tzuf in the Binyamin district of Samaria Tuesday morning, forcing students at a nearby girls' school to evacuate.

Authorities say the fire is spreading towards the Shirat Hayam school, prompting a full evacuation of students and staff members.

One person was injured from smoke inhalation and was treated on the scene by emergency first responders.

The firefighters were deployed to the scene to contain the blaze and to protect threatened neighborhoods.

The commander of the firefighter forces deployed to Neve Tzuf, Shlomo Mizrahi, said: "Immediately upon receiving the report, multiple teams were dispatched to the scene. The firefighters are currently battling the blaze to prevent its spread. Thus far, we have prevented the fire from spreading towards the school building, and we are continuing with efforts to extinguish the blaze."
