Two Israeli Jews were injured in a stone-throwing attack in northern Samaria Sunday evening.

The attack occurred on a road between the Israeli town of Shavei Shomron and Homesh, the site of a former Israeli town evacuated in 2005, which has since been resettled by the Homesh Yeshiva.

MDA emergency first responders were dispatched to the scene, and were themselves attacked by stone-throwers en route.

"Terrorism won't deter us," vowed Samaria Regional Council chief Yossi Dagan in response to the attack. "We will continue to build up towns and Samaria [as a whole]. We will continue to rebuild Homesh."

"We need to turn all of our attention to preventing these kinds of incidents, to stop the throwing of stones, and not to let terrorism raise its head. The enemy is testing us now, testing the army, and testing the country."
