A joint force of ISA agents and the Israel Police's elite YAMAM counterterror unit have arrested a teenager from the Palestinian Authority on suspicion of planning to carry out a terrorist attack against Israel. The suspect was arrested in Lod, after information on his intentions was received from the ISA and IDF.

The suspect was intending to carry out an attack in Israel in the immediate future, as revenge for the recent operations by Israeli security forces in the Shechem region.

The suspect, a 16-year-old minor, operated without organizational affiliation. He did not have a permit to be in Israel. He was arrested and handed over for further investigation by the ISA
