Mohammad Raad, a Lebanese politician and a member of Hezbollah who presides over the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc in the Lebanese parliament, on Saturday sent a message to Israel, threatening war. "If you are not interested in war, then it is better that you remain silent," he said. "Gone are the days when Israel was able to blow up nuclear reactors without blinking an eye. Today, Israel is incapable of moving two tents from their places." The "two tents" Raad refers to were set up by Hezbollah in sovereign Israeli territory near Mount Dov. Israel has preferred to try diplomatic tactics before militarily moving the tents. According to a diplomatic source, during at least some of the time, Hezbollah fighters from an elite unit, the Radwan Force, were at the site. The IDF has turned to UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) for intervention, but UNIFIL officials did not arrive in the area. Only after diplomatic pressure by Gilad Erdan, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, did UNIFIL arrive at the scene and confirm that the tents were in fact set up on Israel's side of the Blue Line and are in Israeli territory.
