Regional Cooperation Minister David (Dudi) Amsalem (Likud) on Monday criticized Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara for her position on enforcing the law regarding everything involving protests against the judicial reform.

Just prior to the beginning of the government meeting Monday, Amsalem said, "We have great luck today that the roads were open. Tomorrow we will awaken to a new day and we'll see what's happening. We live in a time of uncertainty. You leave your home and you don't know if you'll reach the wedding, the bar mitzvah, the government meeting. Why? Because if 10-20 people have decided to block the road - that's what's happening."

"There is no country in the world where this can happen, except when we have an Attorney General who supports the protest. She is an Attorney General for the protests, not for the government."

Last week, Baharav-Miara approved holding protests at Ben Gurion International Airport, claiming that, "Ben Gurion Airport is a public space and therefore every person has the right to freedom of speech and protest in this place as well."

She added, "Neither the Director of the Israel Airports Authority nor any other body has any authority under the law to prevent the entry of people into the airport solely on the basis of the fact that they do not have plane tickets for that day."
