The Knesset Constitution Committee on Wednesday evening approved the Reasonableness Standard Bill, which would limit the use of the judicial doctrine of reasonableness, for its second and third readings in the Knesset.
Nine members of the committee voted in favor of the law and seven voted against it.
During the vote, MKs from the opposition shouted "shame" at the coalition members. MK Gilad Kariv (Labor) was removed from the room after he shouted and showed pictures of the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The committee had rejected more than 27,000 objections that were submitted against the law.
A commotion began when the parliamentary advisers of Labor MKs Merav Michaeli, Naama Lazimi and Gilad Kariv started shouting at the members of the coalition.
The members of the Knesset guard who noticed what was happening quickly removed them from the room.
