A new poll published Monday evening showed that if elections were to be held today, the current coalition would receive just 57 Knesset seats, down from the current 64.

The poll, conducted by Direct Polls and published on Channel 14, showed that the Likud would be the largest party, with 31 Knesset seats, followed by National Unity with 28 seats.

Yesh Atid, with 14 seats, would be third-largest in the Knesset.

According to the poll, Shas would win nine Knesset seats, while United Torah Judaism and Yisrael Beytenu would win seven seats each.

Four parties would win five seats each: Religious Zionism, Otzma Yehudit, Ra'am (United Arab List), and Hadash-Ta'al. Meretz would be the smallest party in the Knesset, with just four seats.

Neither Balad nor the Labor party are expected to pass the electoral threshold.

Respondents were also asked who they believe is the best candidate for prime minister. When given a choice between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Yesh Atid leader MK Yair Lapid, 45% of respondents chose Netanyahu, while 31% chose Lapid and 24% said "neither of them."

However, when given a choice between Netanyahu and National Unity chief MK Benny Gantz, 45% of respondents supported Gantz, 45% supported Netanyahu, and 10% voted "neither of them."
