The senior member of the Degel Hatorah Council of Torah Sages and leader of the Ateres Yisrael Yeshiva Rabbi Baruch Mordechai Ezrachi passed away on Thursday at the age of 94.
The funeral will take place at the Ateres Yisrael Yeshiva in Modiin Illit.
Rabbi Ezrachi was hospitalized several months ago at Hadasa Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem due to shortness of breath. His condition quickly deteriorated, and he was put on a ventilator.
In recent weeks, his condition improved, but on Thursday morning, medical teams were called to his room after a substantial deterioration in his condition. CPR was performed, but he was later pronounced dead.
For over 60 years, he taught at the yeshiva in Kfar Hassidim, Yeshivat Hevron, and Ateres Yisrael.
Rabbi Ezrachi wrote a series of books titled Bircat Mordechai and served as a member of the Yeshivas Committee.
