Following the IDF Spokesperson revealing yesterday that the Hamas terrorist organization uses the Shifa hospital for terrorist activity, the ISA has released footage from the interrogation of two terrorists who confirmed the hospital is being used for Hamas activity.
The two terrorists were involved in the brutal massacre on October 7th in southern Israel:
It should be noted that the IDF and ISA have also shared more intelligence on the subject with Western officials in the intelligence community.
One of the terrorists, Hassan, claims to have been a combat medic for Hamas forces in the Sufa region of Israel. He specifically states that Hamas operatives are hiding in the Shifa hospital in Gaza.
The other, Amar, Says he is from the Tapach region of Gaza. He claims to have served in Nukhba, a more select unit in Hamas.
Amar details that there are tunnels under each neighborhood of Gaza, although not all neighborhoods include an entrance. The main entrances, he says, are in the Aasama and Mahata neighborhoods of Gaza. According to his statement, the connections between tunnels run through the underground levels of hospitals, including the Shifa Hospital.
Amar further details that the tunnels are not the primary refuge during Israeli bombardments, but rather hospitals, clinics, and treatment centers - 'because you will not attack them.' For the same reason, they are used as transfer hubs for explosives, food, weapons, and medical equipment.
"We know Shifa is safe," he tells the interrogator.
He further tells the interrogator that Hamas 'fills tanks fo fuel for their cars and jeeps, then gives to the people.' Earlier, the IDF published aerial imagery claiming that Hamas maintains fuel reserves of 500,000 liters, despite claims that the fuel reserves for electricity in Gaza are depleted.
Finally, Amar claims that residents of Gaza are forbidden from leaving the Gaza Strip, including through the Egyptian border, without the permission of Hamas.
