Former United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton addressed the war between Israel and Hamas and called out those calling for a ceasefire. "People who are calling for a ceasefire now do not understand Hamas, that is not possible," Clinton proclaimed. She explained: "It would be such a gift to Hamas because they would spend whatever time there was a ceasefire in effect rebuilding armaments, creating stronger positions to be able to fend off an eventual assault by the Israelis." The former Secretary of State concluded that "we are in a very different world. I don't think it had to be the world we're in, but that's where we are, and we have to figure out our way forward through it.
