IDF Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, during his nightly press briefing on Sunday, stated that the 36th Division, together with Naval commandos, raided the Gaza port. According to him, the raid was conducted as part of the encirclement of Gaza City.
Hagari also discussed the exchanges of fire on the northern front and said that the IDF has "operational plans to change the security situation" in the region.
He noted that earlier in the day, the IDF struck Hezbollah targets as a reaction to the rocket fire at northern Israel and that it eliminated a squad that launched an anti-tank missile at the village of Dovev, where seven electric company workers were wounded, six severely and one was critically.
"We are at very high preparedness in the north, Hezbollah and the Lebanese government are responsible for all launches from Lebanon. The citizens of Lebanon will pay the price for Hezbollah's decision to protect ISIS."
