The IDF on Monday morning confirmed that two mortars were launched from Lebanon into Israeli territory, and fell in open areas.

"Following the sirens which sounded earlier Monday morning in Gornot Hagalil, two mortar launches that crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory were identified," the IDF said in a statement. "The launches fell in open areas."

"No injuries were reported. IDF artillery is striking the sources of the launches."

The IDF added, "Overnight, IDF forces attacked a cell of armed terrorists identified in Lebanese territory near the Biranit area. A hit was identified."

On Sunday, six people were injured, five seriously and one critically, by an anti-tank missile fired by terrorists from southern Lebanon. The Hezbollah terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the attack.

The missile was fired at civilian vehicles near the community of Dovev. The electric company stated that the wounded were employees who were working in the area.

The IDF retaliated with artillery fire at the source of the missile attack.
