Defense Minister Yoav Gallant (Likud) has ordered the administrative detention of a 22-year-old Israeli shepherd from the Binyamin region. The order calls for the shepherd to be arrested for 5 months. The order was given to the shepherd shortly before a court hearing regarding his arrest. Instead of the hearing, he has been preemptively arrested by administrative order. This is the second administrative order Minister Gallant has issued against this individual since the war broke out. Minister Gallant also signed another order against a resident of Yitzhar, the right-wing activist Ariel Danino. Danino is married and has several children. Fine young men, the best of this country, are treated as the worst of terrorists with administrative detentions with not a single piece of evidence - to appease the Americans.” “The largest democracy in the world, in which such a process is illegal and opposed to the Democratic Party’s ideals, is demanding such action while a multi-front war is being carried on. This is an outrage and disgr ace.”
