An IDF unmanned aircraft struck a vehicle in Jenin on Wednesday eliminating four Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists.

One of the terrorists who were eliminated was Ahmad Barakat, who murdered Meir Tamari in the shooting attack in Hermesh last May.

In addition, Muhammad Shuakhin, an Islamic Jihad commander of terrorist infrastructure in the area of Jenin, as well as two other operatives, were also struck.

The two operatives who were struck were involved in advancing significant terrorist activity and attacks on Israeli civilians. They were behind the recent attempt by a terrorist to enter the heart of Israel to carry out a planned attack, which was thwarted by Israeli security forces on March 11, 2024. In addition, the terrorists directed an explosives attack against IDF soldiers on March 8, 2024, during which seven IDF soldiers were injured in the area of the Homesh Junction.

Tal Tamari, Meir's widow, reacted to the elimination of one of her husband's murderers: "One of the terrorists who committed the attack and murdered my Meir was eliminated. Thanks to the security forces for the holy work, may they always return home safely. To the second terrorist, see this as a warning: every dog has his day and you are next in line. The eternal nation does not fear a long path! Am Israel chai!"

Kan News reported that in contrast to most airstrikes in Judea and Samara, the assassination was not carried out by a Hermes 450 (Zik) UAV, but rather by a Hermes 900 (Kochav).
