
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit announced on Wednesday morning that a soldier from the Shaldag Unit, one of the premier Israeli Air Force units, was seriously injured on Tuesday in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip.
The statement added that soldier was evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital and his family has been notified.
Earlier this week, four IDF soldiers were injured during activity in the area of the Lebanon border as a result of an explosion.
One soldier was severely injured, two were moderately injured, and a fourth was lightly injured.
On Saturday, an IDF reserve soldier was seriously injured after a UAV launched from Lebanon exploded near him.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for shooting incidents towards the north on Saturday and claimed that some of them were aimed at "spying equipment in a military post".
