Operatives from the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, the militant wing of the Fatah movement, have announced the creation of a "special unit belonging to the youth of revenge and liberation."

The message stated that the unit was one "made of those who sacrifice themselves in the way of Allah," that is, a unit where the operatives are prepared to commit suicide attacks.

The group's spokesman said that they are preparing a "strong" response to Israel, emphasizing that "we promise the cruel occupation that we will respond to the crimes the occupation commits against our people."

The video shows seven armed operatives dressed in a combat vest standing behind the spokesman, who is also armed. All prefaced the announcement with a prayer to Allah.

The al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades was included in Israel's list of recognized terror organizations in 2002, as well as by other countries.

The organization was behind a long list of attacks against Israel, including suicide attacks during the Second Intifada.

A group associated with the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades has been committing terror attacks in Judea and Samaria and participated in the Hamas attack on October 7th.
