Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef was evacuated Saturday morning to Hadassah Mount Scopus Medical Center in Jerusalem. Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef was evacuated for medical tests at his doctor's orders, after he began to feel unwell. After Shabbat (Sabbath) ended on Saturday night, he was released home from the hospital, in good condition. Hadassah Hospital released the following statement: "Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef was evacuated this morning to Hadassah Hospital for tests, as per his doctor's orders, after he felt unwell. Following the end of Shabbat, he was released home, feeling well."
