Arutz Sheva - Israel National News joined Israeli forces during their operation in Jenin as part of the IDF's Operation Wall of Iron.
The commander of the Haruv special forces unit shared insights on the operation. "This past year, we've conducted numerous operations, commencing in Gaza on October 7 and subsequently shifting to Judea and Samaria, with a key focus on refugee camps," he stated.
To date, over 15 terrorists have been neutralized, 40+ suspects arrested, and dozens of weapons seized by forces in the region.
"The enemy prepared the area for combat against IDF forces. This is a significant operation. Our primary aim is to neutralize as many armed attackers as possible and dismantle the large enemy infrastructure accumulated here recently. Ultimately, this is about operational control and disrupting their organization," he explained.
During the operation, Israeli soldiers discovered an explosive device hidden in a washing machine and neutralized dozens of explosives planted on paths for use against Israeli forces. A control room with gas tanks intended for crafting explosives was discovered as well.
The commander of one of Haruv's sub-units showcased explosives confiscated during the operation and said, "The explosives, aimed at Israeli forces or thrown on roads as acts of terror, needed to be dismantled. The operation's goal is to prevent and disrupt all terrorist activities, preventing any attacks. The mission is to search house by house, ensuring that we leave nothing unturned.''
