Anat and Haggai Angrest, the parents of kidnapped IDF solider Matan Angrest, on Thursday evening allowed the publication of their son's abduction from his tank during the October 7 attack and the beatings inflicted on him by a mob in Gaza.

Matan Angrest, who fought with his squadmates in Nahal Oz, was kidnapped from his tank and severely beaten. His mother said she had refrained from watching the video and, after watching it, decided that the entire public should be exposed to the terrible horrors of her son's kidnapping in order to strengthen the calls for the return of the hostages.

"Tonight, we decided to release footage of my son Matan from the moments of his kidnapping - being lynched and beaten by a mob. I avoided watching this video myself, but I realized we have no choice. I must set aside my own feelings and focus only on what I need to do to prove that people are buried underground, in immediate life-threatening danger - and they can still be saved," Anat Angrest said on Thursday.

"This morning, I showed the video to my parents. Each viewing shortens their lives - Holocaust survivor grandparents now witnessing their beloved grandson's suffering," she added.

"For a year and a half, 59 innocent people have been buried underground, suffering daily abuse. My Matan's injuries speak for themselves. He has no time left. My son sustained severe injuries on October 7th. Despite his serious condition, he wasn't released in the last humanitarian agreement. According to testimonies from those who have returned, Matan is suffering from irreversible long-term disabilities, abuse, and facial fractures. My son is in a cage, starving, without daylight."

"President Trump, you helped so many to be released, you helped so many to be reunited with their families. Please do whatever you can to advance a deal that will bring my son and the other 58 hostages back home," said Matan's mother.
