היום 16:35|'The Iranians took advantage of all of Trump's weaknesses'

Professor Eytan Gilboa, an expert in Israel-US relations, a lecturer at Reichman and Bar Ilan Universities, and senior researcher at the Began Saadat Center of Strategic Studies, discussed the recent developments in the relationship between the United States and Iran and expressed doubt in the ability of the emerging agreement to serve Israeli and US interests.

Professor Gilboa notes that the details of the deal are not fully known, besides information published by Iranian media. At the moment, Gilboa says, the deal is a memorandum of understanding built in stages, with the first stage focusing on the Strait of Hormuz. In effect, it restores the situation to what it was before, allowing traffic in the strait and enabling $12-24 billion frozen in various locations, mainly in the Gulf States, to reach Iran. In the second phase, the sides will discuss the nuclear issue for 60 days, but the details of that stage are still unclear.

Prof. Gilboa points out that the memorandum of understanding does not mention the uranium that is enriched to 60%. "At first, Trump demanded that the uranium be removed (from Iran), and now they say they are fine with Iran diluting the uranium. From historical experience, we know that they are unwilling to forgo nuclear weapons, and for years, they lied about the purpose of their nuclear program. They claimed that the program had civilian purposes, but for civilian purposes, 3.67% enrichment is enough. 60% enrichment is for military purposes."

In effect, Gilboa says that "Trump paid in cash, and received deferred checks from the IRGC, and according to experience, these are bounced checks..." To his understanding, the cause of Trump's change in policy was the internal and regional pressure, and Trump's sense that the war did not produce the results he hoped for.

"While he claims that he won and that the Iranians don't have an air force, navy, and so on, all this didn't move the Iranians one millimeter from their demands." Prof. Gilboa is convinced that the 60 days of nuclear negotiations will not produce a complete agreement that includes all the complex technical nuclear issues, their oversight, etc.

"Regarding Lebanon, instead of weakening the connection between Iran and the Hezbollah terrorist organization, Iran demands that the connection be bolstered. Trump didn't manage to change this, and since he's so eager to reach a permanent arrangement, he agreed to it. With this, he violated a clear Israeli interest, which is also an American one, since the US wanted an agreement with the elected government and the disarmament of Hezbollah. The memorandum of understanding goes in the opposite direction."

Trump's anger at Netanyahu stemmed from the understanding that Israel's strike on Beirut's Dahieh suburb endangered the deal because of the connection that Iran demanded between the deal and Lebanon. According to Prof. Gilboa, Trump's conduct is mistaken since Iran needs the agreement no less than the US does.

He also points out that in contrast to Trump's claims about regime change in Iran, the regime is not what changed, but rather the characters running it, and they are no more pragmatic or moderate than their predecessors. Trump speaks of a peace deal when it is not a peace deal, as Iran continues its policy of seeking to destroy Israel.

He notes that "both the opposition and coalition in Israel believe that it is a bad deal and that the chances that Trump will manage to obtain the objective of neutralizing Iran's nuclear arsenal are very low. The Iranians are experts at wasting time, deception, and trickery. Trump thought he knew how to negotiate, but he doesn't. One of the rules that he wrote in his book is not to show too much eagerness to reach a deal, and that is exactly what he did."

During the weeks of negotiations, the Iranians were able to identify all of the weaknesses of President Trump, who was eager to reach an agreement before the midterm elections, which he is approaching from a weakened political position, with two-thirds of the public opposing war. As a result, there is virtually no chance of a return to war, and his threats to resume military action are viewed as empty, according to the analysis. “Under these circumstances, the chances that this memorandum of understanding will be good for Israel and the United States are very low."

Gilboa also noted that the blows inflicted on Iran did not destabilize the regime, which still feels very secure. He said protesters did not return to the streets because the forces responsible for suppressing demonstrations remained in place. “The Iranians say this document is an American acknowledgment of defeat. They postponed signing it so Trump would not be able to say it was a birthday present for him," Gilboa said.

היום 16:17|Agreement with Iran is bad; The test Now is Lebanon

Religious Zionism Party chairman and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich addressed a series of security, diplomatic, and economic issues today (Monday) during his faction meeting, focusing on the agreement between the United States and Iran and the campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

At the start of his remarks, he addressed the management of the war, saying: “Day by day, we are correcting the damage caused by long-standing misconceptions that brought us to the brink of an existential threat. Misconceptions of containment and surrender to hypocritical international pressure allowed terrorist monsters to grow on our borders. The misconception of a small and smart army that turned the IDF into an anorexic and boutique force with very little endurance in terms of fighters and munitions. The misconception of surrender and withdrawals wrapped in pretty diplomatic words that weakened the IDF, its fighting spirit, and its combat ethics."

He then attacked the opposition, saying: “Over the past two and a half years, we have proven as a people, as an army, and as a government that we have what the West lacks when it fights barbaric Islam - patience, determination, stamina, and the ability to endure and pay prices over time. Without all these, it is impossible to defeat radical Islam, which threatens the peace of the free world."

According to him, “We will not lose these critical qualities, not even in the face of an irresponsible opposition of keyboard warriors, who until a few months ago were running a reckless defeatist campaign calling on us to surrender to Hamas’ demands and stop the war before the elimination of Sinwar, Nasrallah, and Khamenei, before the conquest of Rafah and the demilitarization of security zones in Gaza and southern Lebanon, and before the severe blows we dealt Iran that greatly weakened the head of the octopus."

He added that this is “a cynical opposition that is now suddenly trying to outflank us from the right and is selling illusions as if it has some magic solution to solve all of Israel’s security problems within 48 hours."

Addressing the agreement between the United States and Iran, Smotrich said: “In war there are ups and downs. There are successes and there are difficult moments. It is impossible to escape the feeling of bitterness that characterizes all of us today. The agreement with Iran is a bad agreement for Israel and for the entire free world. Iran must not have nuclear weapons, and we must not accept a reality in which the extremist regime in Tehran continues advancing toward that goal."

Alongside his criticism, he emphasized the achievements of the campaign against Iran: “The prolonged campaign that we conducted together with the United States under the leadership of President Trump against Iran produced very significant achievements. The Iranian regime has been weakened, its capabilities have been damaged, and these achievements will not go to waste."

He added: “Israel will continue to use every tool at its disposal to bring down the Iranian ayatollah regime and prevent this terrorist regime from becoming a nuclear threshold state."

Smotrich expressed support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying: “I hear quite a bit of criticism and suggestions from the outside, but the truth must be said: the diplomatic, security, and international pressure being placed during this period on the Israeli government and the prime minister is unprecedented. Not one of the self-declared candidates for prime minister would withstand even one-tenth of this pressure. Believe me. I know them all well. At times like these, national responsibility, composure, and leadership are required - not petty politics and election campaigns."

He later defined the northern front as the central challenge of the coming period: “Our immediate test now is in Lebanon. The goal is to turn the significant military achievements we have achieved into a new and stable security reality for the residents of the north. We will not allow a return under any circumstances to the reality of October 6 on the northern border."

He added: “Therefore, Israel must maintain a long-term presence in the security zone and full freedom of security action against every violation, every threat, and every attempt by Hezbollah to reestablish itself. The IDF must receive all the backing it needs to continue pushing the threat away and ensure the security of northern residents over time. We are working on it."

Referring to the work of the government and Knesset, he said: “Alongside all of this, we continue working in the government and here in the Knesset. While some deal with slogans and headlines, we continue advancing legislation to repair the judicial system, strengthen the Israeli economy, settlement, security, and governance. This is our responsibility, and it is also our commitment to the public. Our responsibility is to continue leading a determined policy, protect the security and national interests of the State of Israel, and strengthen its security and future on all fronts."

At the end of his remarks, he presented economic figures he received from the Israel Securities Authority: “As part of my responsibility for the economy, this morning the chairman of the Securities Authority submitted to me the summary report for 2025. It was a year of intense war on all fronts, a year in which Israel was required to confront unprecedented security challenges."

According to him, “The Israeli economy once again proved its strength, its resilience, and the confidence that markets have in it. The TA-125 Index produced a return of about 51% in 2025, the average daily trading volume in stocks reached about NIS 2.9 billion, 21 new companies held initial public offerings on the stock exchange, and mutual funds raised a net total of about NIS 73 billion."

He further added: “The deeper meaning of these figures goes far beyond the capital market. A strong economy is a necessary condition for strong national security. It enables us to fund the needs of the war, continue the unprecedented strengthening of the defense establishment, invest in defense industries, develop advanced technologies, and strengthen the strategic independence of the State of Israel against its enemies. Facing the Iranian threat and the security challenges around us, we understand more than ever that the economic front and the security front are intertwined."

He concluded by saying: “Israel’s economic resilience is one of the main sources of strength that enables us to fight, win, and, with God’s help, ensure the security and future of the State of Israel for generations."

היום 15:45|Hezbollah congratulates Iran

The Hezbollah terrorist organization issued its first official statement following the agreement between the US and Iran, claiming that it was a "great achievement" born of "firm determination."

"There will be no return to the situation before March 2," Hezbollah claimed in a warning to Israel.

The terrorist organization praised Iran for reaching the agreement and declared that it was a prelude to "the liberation of our land, the return of our prisoners, and the return of the residents to their homes."

US President Donald Trump announced the deal in a post on Truth Social.

“The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow! President DONALD J. TRUMP," he wrote.

He later posted another message about the deal, writing, “This Great Deal will bring Peace and Security to the whole Region. Many presidents have tried to make Peace with Iran, and all have failed before me. The Leaders of the Region have, for the first time, found a President who can help them achieve real Peace. With the opening of the Strait upon the signing of the Deal on Friday, for purposes of mine removal, oil will flow on both ends again for the Region, and the World!"

The deal reportedly includes the freeing of billions of dollars in frozen Iranian funds, as well as the lifting of the US blockade on Iran and the end of the conflict on all fronts, including the Hezbollah front. In return, Iran is expected to give up its stockpile of enriched uranium, agree not to develop nuclear weapons, and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Issues such as Iran's ballistic missile program are not subject to the agreement.

היום 15:12|Opposition Leader: 'Netanyahu lost the war, he collapsed at the moment of truth'

Opposition Leader and Former Prime Minister Yair Lapid sharply criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the opening of the Yesh Atid faction meeting, saying, “Netanyahu lost the war. Netanyahu did not deliver-he collapsed at the moment of truth."

According to Lapid, “There has never been a more complete failure than Netanyahu’s diplomatic failure on the Iranian front." He added: “If, during a war, you drive the President of the United States crazy over your own pardon issues, don’t be surprised if he turns on you the moment your interests diverge."

Lapid continued: “On October 7, we learned that Netanyahu could no longer protect the security of Israel’s citizens. On June 15, 2026, we learned that he can no longer manage a diplomatic campaign."

היום 06:22|'A critical step toward permanent peace'

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on Sunday night expressed strong support for the newly brokered accord between Washington and Tehran, characterizing it as a pivotal advancement toward halting active hostilities and securing a lasting diplomatic resolution.

The UN leader extended direct commendations to both sides for choosing the path of diplomacy to dismantle the ongoing crisis.

"I warmly congratulate the US and Iran for having reached a peace deal that provides for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as a framework for further negotiations," Guterres said.

He emphasized that the layout of the memorandum establishes an essential foundation for long-term regional stability.

"This represents a critical step towards the peaceful settlement of the conflict," he added.

Additionally, the UN chief voiced his gratitude toward the neighboring Middle Eastern and regional governments that served as vital back-channel intermediaries to shepherd the delicate discussions, specifically praising the diplomatic interventions of Pakistan, Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.

US President Donald Trump earlier officially announced the deal in a post on Truth Social.

היום 05:09|US rejects Iran's claim of getting billions before talks

A senior US official on Sunday rejected Iran’s claims that the Islamic Republic would receive billions of dollars in frozen funds before negotiations on a final agreement begin, calling the characterization a "spin."

Speaking to Axios’ Barak Ravid, the US official denied reports that Iran would gain unconditional access to $12 billion in blocked assets before the start of the 60-day negotiating period.

"This is completely not true. This is a pay-for-performance deal and no frozen funds will be released without the Iranians implementing their commitments," the official stated.

Shortly after President Donald Trump officially announced the deal on Sunday night, the semi-official Iranian Mehr news agency published what it claimed to be the 14 foundational clauses of the agreement.

Under the reported financial framework, the United States must authorize the immediate release of $12 billion in frozen Iranian assets prior to the launch of formal negotiations. An additional $12 billion would then be unblocked during a subsequent 60-day final negotiation window.

Concurrently, all US sanctions targeting Iran's oil and petrochemical sectors would be suspended, and a comprehensive naval blockade of the country would be dismantled within 30 days.

According to the publication, the sequencing of the deal is absolute, meaning no final treaty discussions will take place until the initial $12 billion is unfettered, the energy sanctions are frozen, and the maritime blockade is removed.

היום 04:54|European powers welcome deal, demand swift reopening of Hormuz

The heads of state of France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy late on Sunday night issued a collaborative endorsement of the newly unveiled memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran.

The European powers hailed the agreement as a major diplomatic milestone and pushed for a swift, all-encompassing execution of its terms.

The joint declaration extended direct congratulations to the United States, Iran, and the third-party facilitators who guided the back-channel diplomacy, specifically highlighting the efforts of Pakistan and Qatar.

"We warmly welcome the announcement of the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran. We congratulate the United States, the Iranian government and all those involved, including Pakistan, Qatar, and all other mediators, on this diplomatic breakthrough," the leaders stated, as quoted by the Anadolu news agency.

The quartet of European leaders framed the accord as a pivotal opening to rebuild fractured Middle Eastern stability and inject confidence into the international economy. However, they emphasized that the primary challenge lies in cementing the technical specifics and honoring the overarching framework.

"It is now vital that the detailed negotiations are concluded and this agreement is implemented rapidly and comprehensively. We are ready to support that effort," they added.

A key priority outlined in the joint communication is the immediate unsealing of the Strait of Hormuz to guarantee "unconditional and unrestricted freedom of navigation," which the nations categorized as an absolute global necessity.

To help secure this vital shipping lane, the four European governments indicated they are prepared to mobilize their own assets. This involvement would materialize via "a strictly defensive and independent mission" tailored to restore confidence for mercantile vessels and carry out crucial bomb disposal and mine-clearance tasks, contingent upon individual domestic constitutional parameters.

Turning to the core nuclear dilemma, the leaders firmly reasserted their long-standing geopolitical boundary regarding Tehran's atomic trajectory, stating that "Iran must never acquire a nuclear weapon." They expressed an immediate readiness to coordinate with the United States, Iran, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to guarantee total compliance with this non-proliferation benchmark.

Furthermore, the four Western powers held out an economic incentive for Tehran, indicating a mutual willingness to scale back existing international sanctions if the Islamic Republic enacts "clear, verifiable steps" to curb and dismantle its atomic apparatus. The document concluded with a commitment from France, the UK, Germany, and Italy to maintain a synchronized diplomatic channel alongside Washington, Tehran, and neighboring Middle Eastern capitals to preserve the diplomatic momentum toward a durable, permanent treaty.

היום 04:10|'We must understand who we are dealing with'

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Sunday expressed hope that a deal with Iran could be reached to end its nuclear program, but also noted that Hezbollah, Iran’s proxy in Lebanon, remains committed to Israel’s destruction.

“While I hope and pray that a diplomatic solution to end the Iranian conflict and deny Iran the ability to produce a nuclear weapon and stop their reign of terror on the region may be at hand, we still must understand who we are dealing with," Graham wrote in a post on social media..

“Since the latest ceasefire, Hezbollah has been unrelenting in their attacks against Israel to the point there are areas in northern Israel that have been evacuated because of the constant attacks. What would America do in a similar situation?" he continued.

“Hezbollah is financed and controlled by Iran, with a lot of American blood on its hands. It is clear to me that no matter what deal we sign with Iran, Hezbollah’s stated ambitions of destroying Israel and making Lebanon a caliphate have not fundamentally changed," added Graham.

He concluded, “May God protect the United States and may God protect the State of Israel."

Graham’s post came before President Donald Trump officially announced a deal with Iran, which is scheduled to be formally signed on Friday.

Earlier on Sunday, Trump reacted to the Israeli retaliatory strike on a Hezbollah command center in Beirut, hinting that Israel should forgo its right to defend itself so that he could achieve a memorandum of understanding with Iran.

"This morning’s attack on Beirut should not have happened, particularly on a special day when we are so close to a Peace Deal with Iran," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

He added that "Israel has the right to defend itself against threats, but the attack it was responding to was very small and meaningless, nobody was hurt, injured, or killed, and should not disrupt this important process."

The President also claimed that the deal with Iran would include Lebanon, stating, "We are very close to a deal that will bring peace to the region, including to Lebanon, and all sides should stand down."

"There should be no more attacks by Israel anywhere in Lebanon, but there should also be no more attacks by any other party, including Hezbollah, against Israel. This could be the beginning of a long and beautiful peace - Let’s not blow it!" he urged.

His comments came after the IDF conducted a precise strike on a Hezbollah command center in the Dahieh suburb of Beirut, following the infiltration of three unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Lebanon into Israeli airspace during the morning hours. Two drones exploded in the Shlomi area of the western Galilee, while a third later exploded in a military zone inside Israel.

היום 03:47|Report: Qatari mediators leave Tehran after 17 hours of talks

A diplomatic source told CNN that members of the Qatari mediation delegation have departed Tehran, following a marathon, intensive round of negotiations between U.S. and Iranian representatives that lasted approximately 17 hours.

According to the report, the mediators are now expected to hold separate meetings with each of the parties in Doha as part of final preparations ahead of the official signing of the memorandum of understanding. The official signing ceremony is scheduled to take place this coming Friday in Switzerland.

היום 03:13|Oil prices drop following US-Iran deal

Oil prices are recording sharp declines in international markets following the official reports detailing a finalized memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, alongside the announcement ending the naval blockade and military operations.

Following this dramatic development, Brent crude is trading at approximately $83.82 per barrel, after registering a drop of around 4.02%. Concurrently, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude is trading at roughly $80.95 per barrel, reflecting a sharp decline of about 4.63%.

היום 02:41|Trump slams 'difficult' Netanyahu following Iran deal

US President Donald Trump claimed during a Sunday interview with The New York Times that his freshly brokered pact with Tehran will guarantee that the Strait of Hormuz remains completely open without transit fees indefinitely.

He further asserted that the diplomatic breakthrough successfully shielded Israel from nuclear devastation, overriding fierce pushback from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The president warned that if the Islamic Republic fails to reach a definitive atomic accord - a process administration aides indicate is slated to commence this Friday in Switzerland - he is prepared to reignite military operations against Tehran.

Alternatively, Trump proposed an arrangement where the United States would serve as a regional protector in exchange for a 20 percent share of Middle Eastern revenues.

The remarks were delivered during a 28-minute phone dialogue initiated by Trump from the White House executive residence, followed by a brief secondary call. Throughout the conversation, the president maintained that his late-February military offensive against Iran, paired with the subsequent maritime blockade enforced after Tehran shut the strait, completely reshaped regional dynamics to Washington's advantage.

During the interview with the Times, Trump lauded Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin for their assistance in facilitating the truce. Conversely, he leveled harsh criticism at Netanyahu, accusing the Israeli leader of orchestrating military maneuvers that nearly broke the emerging peace deal.

“He’s a very difficult guy," Trump said of Netanyahu, “and to be honest with you, he should be very thankful to us for doing this. Because if Iran had a nuclear weapon, Israel wouldn’t be around for two hours."

Trump repeatedly drew parallels between his new framework and the 2015 nuclear agreement brokered by President Barack Obama's administration, promising that his deal ensures Iran will be unable to manufacture or acquire atomic weaponry.

Trump indicated that active talks are still determining whether Tehran will freeze its enrichment program for a 20-year duration - hinting he might compromise on a 15-year freeze - but emphasized that Iran's enrichment would be permanently capped at low, non-military thresholds. The Obama-era treaty featured an identical restriction, though Tehran accelerated its refinement up to near-weapons-grade 60 percent purity after Trump abandoned that pact in 2018.

The interview with Trump came after he officially announced the Iran deal in a post on Truth Social.

With the opening of the Strait upon the signing of the Deal on Friday, for purposes of mine removal, oil will flow on both ends again for the Region, and the World!"

Previously, Trump told The Wall Street Journal that he plans to issue a statement imminently confirming that the US has agreed to a deal with Iran.

Trump said this deal will either be signed electronically by himself or Vice President JD Vance.

He also claimed that Netanyahu “is okay" with the deal.

Earlier, Netanyahu and Trump spoke on the phone. A senior official familiar with the matter told Channel 12 News that the President briefed the Prime Minister on progress toward signing an agreement with Iran.

Netanyahu paused the security cabinet meeting in order to speak with Trump. The meeting resumed after the phone call and concluded a few minutes later.

היום 02:24|These are the 14 clauses of the deal with the US

The semi-official Iranian Mehr news agency has published what it claims to be the 14 foundational clauses of the looming memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran.

The leaked blueprint outlines an expansive list of upfront American concessions alongside sweeping regional alterations required before final diplomatic talks can officially commence.

The draft memorandum demands a dramatic shift in American security posture across the Middle East. It mandates that the United States formally commit to total non-interference in Iranian internal affairs, execute a withdrawal of its military forces from areas surrounding Iran, and refrain from enacting new economic sanctions or deploying additional troops while negotiations remain active.

On the ground, the document calls for an instantaneous ceasefire across all active combat fronts, explicitly including the conflict in Lebanon. Following this cessation of hostilities, the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz would reopen within a 30-day window under management arrangements designated by Tehran.

In return, the text states that Iran would reaffirm its core commitment under the Non-Proliferation Treaty to abstain from manufacturing nuclear weapons. This vow would anchor a strict 60-day timeline dedicated to hashing out a comprehensive, permanent agreement centered on atomic parameters and the absolute removal of international sanctions.

However, the clauses place immense financial and political demands on Western powers while insulating Tehran's conventional defense structures. The framework stipulates that the United States and its international partners must introduce multi-billion-dollar reconstruction initiatives for war-torn areas, valued at a minimum of $300 billion.

Furthermore, Iran’s ballistic missile development program and its financial and military backing of regional resistance groups are entirely barred from the negotiating table.

According to the publication, the sequencing of the deal is absolute, meaning no final treaty discussions will take place until the initial $12 billion is unfettered, the energy sanctions are frozen, and the maritime blockade is removed. To ensure compliance from all signatories, a specialized supervisory mechanism would be established to police the implementation of these terms, with the ultimate peace treaty requiring formal ratification via a United Nations Security Council resolution.

US President Donald Trump earlier officially announced the deal in a post on Truth Social.

“The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif officially announced on Sunday night that a peace deal between the US and Iran, which includes Lebanon, has been reached.

"Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon," stated Sharif.

He added that the official signing ceremony will take place this coming Friday, June 19, in Switzerland.

Netanyahu paused the security cabinet meeting in order to speak with Trump. The meeting resumed after the phone call and concluded a few minutes later.

Meanwhile, Trump defended the impending deal with Iran, stating on Truth Social that the agreement is the complete opposite of the deal signed with Iran during the Obama administration.

Trump’s post was a direct reply to comments made by Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) about the deal.

“Senator Jack Reed, a Dumocrat from R.I., lied when stating the Deal we just made is not as good as the Obama disaster known as the JCPOA. Reed is either an outright fraud, or incompetent," wrote Trump.

“The Obuma Deal was a road to a Nuclear weapon for Iran, cash and all, one of the worst and dumbest (hence Dumocrats!) Deals ever made by the U.S. Our Deal is a WALL against Iran ever having a Nuclear weapon, the complete opposite of Obuma. Impeach Jack Reed!" he added.

אתמול 21:13|Trump offered Iran more concessions after Beirut strike

Israeli officials assess that US President Donald Trump will make additional concessions to Iran in exchange for the regime refraining from responding to the IDF retaliatory strike on a Hezbollah in Beirut's Dahieh suburb, Channel 12 reported on Sunday.

The nature of the reported concession is not known, but the report stated that this is the focus of behind-the-scenes diplomatic efforts.

According to the report, US officials also made clear in their discussions with Israel that Israel should not, under any circumstances, take any action that could jeopardize the agreement. In other words, even if Iran ultimately launches an attack, Israel is expected to refrain from responding.

Iran claimed that the US President offered them money in exchange for their restraint, but they refused it, stating, "We will not betray our allies (Hezbollah). The response is close."

Trump reacted furiously to the Israeli strike, which came after several Hezbollah drones exploded in Israeli territory on a day the President planned to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Islamic regime. In a post on Truth Social, he wrote: "This morning’s attack on Beirut should not have happened, particularly on a special day when we are so close to a Peace Deal with Iran."

President Trump told Fox News that in a call following the strike, he asked Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, “What the *‎*‎*‎* are you doing?" and told Netanyahu not to conduct additional strikes.

Speaking with Axios's Barak Ravid, the President lashed out even more harshly, saying: "Why did Bibi have to do a *‎*‎*‎*ing attack? I was so pissed off. I let him know. He has no *‎*‎*‎*ing judgement. I let him know that."

One of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s closest associates told Channel 12 that Trump’s social media post was received with astonishment. A senior Israeli official said this evening: “Trump’s announcement is a resounding slap in the face. The restrictions have reached a new level-the expectation that we not strike inside Lebanese territory is inconsistent with the notion of a strategic ally."

אתמול 20:39|Israel fears Trump will try to tie its hands in Lebanon

An ongoing debate in Jerusalem over the past few weeks has focused on the scope of Israel's freedom of operation in Lebanon as the United States and Iran move closer to signing a memorandum of understanding. Defense officials have made it clear that any restriction on the IDF's maneuver space will be perceived as having significant security and political implications.

Maariv reported, citing two Israeli officials, that in US President Donald Trump brought up the issue of the Israeli presence in southern Lebanon and on the Syrian side of Mount Hermon in recent conversations with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Among the options raised is a withdrawal from all five points that the IDF is holding in southern Lebanon and from the Syrian side of Mount Hermon.

These steps are being discussed within the framework of broader understandings, which include a complete ceasefire and a cessation of offensive military activity in the region.

The Israelis are currently focusing on estimating the effect of such moves on the security threat and the political and strategic consequences, while maintaining the IDF's operational freedom across all arenas.

Israeli sources noted that the current discussions focus not only on security for northern Israel, but also on Israel's diplomatic standing in the region, and assessing the balance between maintaining security and diplomatic progress with Iran.

Israel is estimating that Iran will respond to the Israeli strike on a Hezbollah command center in Beirut's Dahieh suburb on Sunday.

An Israeli source told CNN that Israel took into consideration that the strike might lead Iran to retaliate with ballistic missile fire against Israel on the day that President Donald Trump said the US and Iran would be signing an initial ceasefire agreement.

He stressed that Israel updated the US Central Command before the strike.

In an official statement on Sunday afternoon, the IDF wrote: "Following the IDF strike in Beirut, IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir is conducting an ongoing situational assessment with all relevant commanders. In accordance with the situational assessments, the IDF is preparing for potential fire toward the territory of the State of Israel in the coming hours. The IDF remains on high alert and prepared for a range of defensive and offensive scenarios."

This being said, the IDF stressed that "at this time, there is no change to the Home Front Command's defensive guidelines. Should there be any changes, the public will be updated accordingly."

The IDF confirmed earlier on Sunday that it conducted a precise strike on a Hezbollah command center in the Dahieh suburb of Beirut.

According to the IDF, Hezbollah terrorists used the command center to advance terrorist attacks against the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon. The strike eliminated the commander of Hezbollah’s communications unit.

The strike followed the infiltration of three unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Lebanon into Israeli airspace during the morning hours. Two drones exploded in the Shlomi area of the western Galilee, while a third later exploded in a military zone inside Israel.

Following Hezbollah’s launch of aerial targets toward Israeli territory earlier on Sunday, the IDF conducted a precise strike on a Hezbollah command center in the Dahieh suburb of Beirut.

According to the IDF, Hezbollah terrorists used the command center to advance terrorist attacks against the citizens of the State of Israel and IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon. The strike eliminated the commander of Hezbollah’s communications unit.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a joint statement that "In response to continued Hezbollah attacks on Israel’s territory, including a terror drone strike this morning, Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz authorized an IDF surgical strike on a Hezbollah terrorist target in the Dahieh quarter of Beirut. Israel will not tolerate firing at its territory."

The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps warned in a statement that “the crimes of the Zionist entity in Dahiyeh will not go unanswered."

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, who is the Islamic Republic's lead negotiator with the United States, commented on the strikes: "The Zionists' incursion into Dahieh has once again shown that America either lacks the will to fulfill its commitments or the ability to do so. By giving the green light to the regime, you cannot gain concessions. The game of bad cop and good cop is outdated."

"If you lack the will and ability to fulfill your commitments, speaking of continuing the path is not possible," he added.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry responded to Ghalibaf: "The Iranian regime, as always, is lying. Iran’s proxy, Hezbollah, is the one that attacked Israel again this morning, completely unprovoked."

The Ministry added that, "Hezbollah constantly fires at Israeli civilians. Even after the ceasefire, Hezbollah has not stopped targeting Israelis. It was Hezbollah that launched an unprovoked attack on Israel in March, acting under the orders of its Iranian masters. Israel will not tolerate firing at its territory."

The strikes come just hours before the US and Iran, according to President Donald Trump, were set to sign an agreement to end hostilities, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and begin nuclear negotiations.

The strike followed the infiltration of three unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Lebanon into Israeli airspace during the morning hours. Two drones exploded in the Shlomi area of the western Galilee, while a third later exploded in a military zone inside Israel.

The IDF said all of the aerial targets fell in military areas near the border and not within civilian communities. The military added that there were no casualties and that the circumstances of the incidents are under investigation.

Cabinet member and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich responded to the incident by calling for a strong Israeli response.

"The fire toward northern communities is a test of the Dahieh equation that the Prime Minister announced," Smotrich said. "I call on him to implement it with determination and force and bring down more buildings in Dahieh today. We are in critical days that will shape the region for many years. We promised security to the residents of the north, and we must deliver."

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said he would present his position during discussions with Prime Minister Netanyahu and call for a harsh response to any violation by Hezbollah.

"For every drone, a missile. For every violation, fire. For every UAV, Dahieh should shake. For every hair on the head of an IDF soldier, a thousand Hezbollah terrorists. Terror is not contained - it is defeated," Ben Gvir said.

Last week, after a Hezbollah attack on Israeli territory, the IDF carried out a strike in Beirut, a move that was followed by an Iranian attack involving approximately 23 missiles launched at Israel and two waves of Israeli Air Force strikes in Iran.

Defense Minister Katz stated last week that "every attack on northern communities will lead to a strike in Dahieh," the Beirut neighborhood regarded as Hezbollah's main stronghold in Lebanon.

אתמול 07:48|Steep decline in number of job seekers

The Employment Service announced on Sunday morning that with the Israeli economy returning to full activity following Operation Roaring Lion, approximately 216,000 workers have rejoined the workforce over the past two months. As a result, the number of job seekers stood at only about 180,000 at the end of May.

The decline in the number of job seekers was evident across all cities with populations exceeding 40,000 residents, with an average decrease of approximately 43%. However, smaller declines were recorded in Arab and peripheral communities. The cities of Rahat and Umm al-Fahm once again topped the list of municipalities with the highest rates of job seekers, while Bnei Brak recorded an especially low rate of 2.3%, similar to other economically strong cities such as Kfar Saba, Ra'anana, and Ramat Hasharon.

A breakdown by population group showed the most significant declines among women, young adults, and the haredi community. Notable decreases were also recorded in occupations involving public gatherings, outdoor work, institutional activities, commerce, and local services. In contrast, professions that can be performed remotely, including high-tech workers, experienced only minimal declines.

Employment Service Director-General Inbal Mashash said, "The Israeli labor market is proving once again that it knows how to recover from crises. The return to routine is not the finish line-it is the starting point. Now is the time to prepare Israel's labor market for the era of artificial intelligence and to ensure that reservists and their families do not pay a price in employment for serving us all."

אתמול 06:53|Iran intensifying measures to seal underground nuclear tunnels

Tehran has aggressively intensified measures to lock down its supply of near-weapons-grade uranium over the past several weeks, intentionally cave-in subterranean corridors and rigging facility access points with live landmines, five individuals tracking American intelligence files revealed to CNN on Saturday.

Extracting the estimated 1,000 pounds of highly refined material has become drastically more arduous, perilous, and prolonged compared to its status just one month ago. At that time, President Donald Trump was openly hinting at deploying the American military to confiscate the stockpile.

These fresh defensive obstructions introduce severe hurdles to the Trump administration's envisioned peace treaty with Tehran, which demands the confiscation and neutralization of the uranium. It additionally clouds the question of which country's personnel will shoulder the hazardous task of unearthing the cache.

Iran’s United Nations diplomatic team and the White House did not immediately provide statements regarding the development.

Trump has consistently framed the retrieval of this material as a non-negotiable American objective in active diplomatic tracks meant to halt the conflict and unlock the sealed Strait of Hormuz. A high-ranking government official noted during a Friday press conference that negotiators are gradually narrowing their differences on a pact forcing Tehran to yield its enriched cache to the United States. Under this proposed blueprint, the material would undergo on-site destruction before being transported out of Iranian territory.

Intelligence insiders stress that even Iranian technicians would face immense peril attempting to recover the nuclear stockpile now, according to CNN. Any extraction attempt would mandate heavy-duty digging machinery alongside high-stakes bomb disposal operations.

The engineered chaos also grants Tehran a convenient tool to cloak potential non-compliance.

Global intelligence agencies suspect the vast majority of the inventory is trapped within deliberately caved-in bunkers at the Isfahan atomic hub in central Iran, with residual quantities distributed among scattered alternative complexes.

During the middle of May, the Pentagon finalized a blueprint to forcibly extract the nuclear material, though the plan was ultimately shelved due to an unacceptable risk matrix, as previously reported. In the weeks following that cancellation, Tehran has doubled down on fortifying the subterranean vaults where its highly enriched uranium remains buried.

Trump has previously voiced his awareness of the severe dangers tied to a forced extraction mission. During a May broadcast on Fox News, he doubted that Iranian forces could dig out the subterranean assets without triggering immediate detection by American overhead surveillance.

“We know exactly what’s happening," Trump told Fox host Sean Hannity of the site. “Nobody’s even gotten close to it."

Yet, two intelligence sources quoted by CNN pointed out that the commander-in-chief's habit of publicly broadcasting the uranium as a potential military objective likely provided Tehran with the exact motivation it needed to better protect its assets.

Consequently, even if a formal accord is executed between Washington and Tehran within the coming days, experts anticipate a long cycle of secondary technical talks to iron out the finer points of Iran's nuclear apparatus.

Sucking the uranium out of the country would likely necessitate deploying a specialized, transportable processing platform managed by the National Nuclear Security Administration at Tennessee's Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Earlier this month, US negotiators Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff conducted an on-site visit to that specific laboratory facility.

Even if granted unhindered access, the world's premier nuclear extraction units would require a substantial window to finalize the mission. Trump recently informed members of the press that the physical removal timeline would span a minimum of two weeks.

אתמול 05:18|Hardliners in Iran denounce US deal as 'dishonorable compromise'

During a heated demonstration in Tehran on Saturday, hardline factions directed fierce chants at Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Abbas Araghchi regarding the imminent accord with the United States, reported Iran International.

Demonstrators were recorded shouting, “Ghalibaf, Araghchi, what about my leader’s blood?" alongside cries of “Araghchi, have shame, leave the country alone."

Simultaneously, a separate confrontation unfolded away from the capital. Media channels affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) broadcast footage showing an evening assembly outside the Foreign Ministry’s diplomatic outpost in Mashhad on Saturday, where a crowd chanted, “Death to Araghchi, the dishonorable compromiser and infiltrator."

These public outbursts follow days of intensifying criticism from conservative hardliners against both the foreign ministry and the state's diplomatic delegation. Detractors have leveled accusations against the negotiators, claiming they have surrendered excessive concessions to Washington in the text of the treaty.

US President Donald Trump confirmed on Saturday that a memorandum of understanding will be signed between the US and Iran on Sunday - digitally.

Bashing former President Barack Obama's 2015 deal with Iran, Trump wrote, "Barack Hussein Obama’s Deal with Iran, the JCPOA, was an easy, beautiful, smooth road to a Nuclear Weapon, which Iran would have had six years ago, and would have used long before now. My Agreement with Iran is the exact opposite, A WALL TO NO NUCLEAR WEAPON! In fact, they no longer want a Nuclear Weapon, nor will they have one, either through purchase, development, or any other form of procurement."

The announcement, posted on Truth Social, continued, "The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL."

Araghchi announced on Friday that while a definitive peace treaty with the United States has not yet been fully locked in, any final pact will unfold in two distinct phases, strategically shifting the contentious nuclear debate to the second half of the timeline.

Detailing the current diplomatic and military state of affairs, Araghchi confidently championed Iran's defensive position, asserting, "The best time to end a war is when we hold the upper hand; we are truly victorious on the battlefield."

He reflected on the intensity of the recent combat operations, claiming, "We stood against the world's apparent superpower for 40 days."

Addressing the public's need for transparency regarding the highly sensitive and unfolding geopolitical talks, Araghchi emphasized that patience is required but promised total clarity down the line.

"The final agreement hasn’t been reached yet; if it is finalized, I promise to explain every single clause," he stated, further clarified the structural sequencing of the emerging framework, "The agreement includes two stages, and we have moved the nuclear issue to the second stage."

Araghchi also forcefully reaffirmed Iran's unwavering dedication to its regional proxy network and axis of resistance, making it clear that a ceasefire must extend beyond Iran's borders.

"We will never leave Hezbollah in Lebanon alone, and the end of the war will also encompass Lebanon and all other fronts."
