The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) on Wednesday issued an unusual message to residents of the Gaza Strip following recent incidents in the "Yellow Line" area.
The message, published through the unit's Arabic-language "Almunasseq" Facebook page, read, "Residents of the Gaza Strip, for your own safety, we reiterate: It is absolutely forbidden to approach the Yellow Line, which extends throughout the Strip in accordance with the ceasefire agreement."
"We are hearing that Hamas is deliberately pushing you to approach the Yellow Line, while completely disregarding the danger to your lives."
COGAT added, "The terrorist organization that brought destruction upon the Strip does not hesitate to use manipulation and aggressive measures that endanger you in order to serve its goals."
"Do not allow Hamas to push you into reckless actions that will put your lives at risk and once again turn you into victims of its reckless actions."
Concluding the message, COGAT reiterated its warning, stressing, "This warning is intended to protect your safety. Do not put your lives at risk, and under no circumstances approach the Yellow Line."
"We cannot guarantee the safety of those who violate the instructions and approach it."
