British television host Piers Morgan, who often criticizes Israel, lambasted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday for remarks he made about the country.
During an interview on a Galei Tzahal podcast, Netanyahu referred to the UK as the "Islamic Republic of Britain." He later quoted US Vice President JD Vance, saying, "Someone said that the first Islamic Republic with a nuclear weapon will be the Islamic Republic of Britain. We are making sure that there won't be another one in Iran."
Morgan commented on the remarks with one word: "Idiot."
The British media personality's post received approximately three million views and over ten thousand comments.
However, a large chunk of the comments were not in support of Morgan, but rather backed up Netanyahu's remarks.
The most popular comment on the post included a map showing the increase in mosques in Britain since the 1950s, with the accusation against Morgan: "You're either willfully ignorant or bought. This is no accident."
The conservative commentator known as "The Moderate Case" addressed the growth in the UK's Muslim population, writing: "One in 5 people in Britain will be Muslim, likely by the time you die, Piers. You are the idiot."
Other commenters shared clips from a recent video expose by independent journalist Nate Friedman which shows the extent of the spread of Islam in London, with one interviewee saying proudly: "G-d willing, one day, everyone will be Muslim."
Another commenter warned Morgan of the impending future: "Piers, you’re calling Netanyahu an idiot? Remember this. The day your own streets turn into a war zone, you’ll be on your knees asking Israel to do what Britain no longer can."
