A delegation from the High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens of Israel visited the Al-Aqsa Mosque and met with representatives of the Waqf Department and Islamic organizations.

According to the report, the visit was intended to discuss "the growing dangers facing the Al-Aqsa Mosque," against the backdrop of what was described as "the resumption of settler incursions into the site and the tightening of restrictions imposed by police on Muslim worshippers."

High Follow-Up Committee chairman Dr. Jamal Zahalka said that the current period requires "strengthening the Palestinian presence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque," and called for "encouraging the public to visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque and increasing the presence of worshippers throughout the day and throughout the entire week."

Sheikh Safwat Freij, leader of the southern branch of the Islamic Movement, shared an article explaining the reasons behind the United Arab List's (Ra'am) efforts to join a coalition that would replace the current right-wing government.

The justification presented for the political move is based on Islamic law and the principle that "action must be taken to reduce the anticipated harm to Muslims on issues important to them," including Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, the demolition of illegally constructed homes, crime in Arab society, the administrative detention of Israeli Arabs, plans to expel Palestinian Arabs from the Gaza Strip and Judea and Samaria, and the weakening of Arab society.
