American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, said he intends to discuss American citizens imprisoned in Russia with the country's Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, in the coming days.

Blinken added that he had made a "significant offer" to have basketball player Brittney Griner and former Marine Paul Whelan returned home, but did not provide details.
