Deputy Minister Yair Golan defended the restrictions in the area surrounding Gaza.

"The decision was correct. As soon as intelligence comes in about an intention to carry out an attack, or any event that can deteriorate the situation in the Gaza Strip for a long period of time, it is better to exercise caution," said Golan.
