US President Joe Biden paid tribute to Mikhail Gorbachev, the last remaining Soviet leader who passed away at the age of 91 on Tuesday.

"Mikhail Gorbachev was a man of extraordinary vision," said Biden, adding: "After decades of brutal political repression, he embraced democratic reforms."
