US President Joe Biden spoke at the memorial service for the September 11 attacks.

According to Kan, Biden said at a ceremony held at the Pentagon that "Despite everything that has changed in the last 21 years, our determination has not changed. For me, the greatest lesson of September 11 is unity. That in a moment of great unity we defeated the darkest impulses to harm Muslim-Americans".
