The head of the Beit El Council responded to the attacks in Jerusalem and to reports of delays in the response due to various legal considerations.

"The healthy response to terrorism should be sharp and immediate, without delays or legal quibbles. There is no room for hesitation and no room for considering the other side. It conveys weakness and costs human life. The only goal that should be in front of our eyes is preventing the next murder. If we had behaved this way in the past, we might have prevented the massacre over Shabbat. My condolences to the families of the murdered and my wishes for a full recovery to the injured."
