For the first time since Israel renewed diplomatic relations with Morocco, the country has publicly marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day, in the Beit-El synagogue in Casablanca.
"This event, held in Morocco, was historic and expresses the deepening of relations between our two nations in the wake of the signing of the Abraham Accords," said Foreign Minister Eli Cohen. "It also strengthens the connection between our two peoples, which will be mutually beneficial in generations to come."
