"Opposition Chairman, Yair Lapid, addressed the battle against the judicial reform bill in an interview on Radio 103FM.

"We will not stop fighting in the streets, in the Knesset, in the courts and wherever possible. The coalition has a majority and if it decides that it is abolishing democracy it is very difficult to stop it. That is why we need to bring together all forces to work together in every possible way and in every possible arena," he said.

Lapid also asked: "Compromises? I refuse to pretend that this is an academic discussion about the legal system. It's an attempt by an individual facing serious criminal accusations and a convicted felon to engineer democracy for their personal benefit - it has nothing to do with me - it's just criminals trying to bend democracy."
