An uproar broke out in the Knesset during MK Dudi Amsalem's (Likud) remarks directed at the opposition during debate over the bill stipulating that the Knesset would ban chametz in hospitals. Chametz is food products that are not kosher for Passover. The bill was proposed by MK Moshe Gafni (Degel Hatorah). It passed in the preliminary reading.
"You are a shame to the people of Israel," Amsalem said to the opposition.
