Labor leader MK Merav Michaeli criticized Prime Minister Netanyahu at a press conference regarding President Herzog's proposed judicial reform plan.
"They warn us of a civil war. In fact, they don't warn us - with one hand they threaten a civil war and with the other hand they push for such a war - they incite, lie, legislate unilaterally and rapaciously and poison us with each other. And it's not the citizens who do this, it's politicians who care only for themselves and their throne, for their corruption, and for it they are ready to sacrifice us all. Stop threatening, and just stop taking us there."
"The outline is far from perfect. There are still cracks and gaps in it that could be misused, for legislation that would harm equality, that would harm democracy, and that there would be no one to protect against it. But we are ready to discuss the outline as a starting point that we will improve for an arrangement that guarantees our democracy. Until that happens, the protests won't stop. This crisis cannot end in a way that will return everything to what it was. The idea that we all serve one elite group has collapsed."
