The Jerusalem District Attorney's Office today submitted to the District Juvenile Court an indictment against a 15-year-old resident of Jerusalem, who was involved in setting fire to a trash container, ransacking, and harming a woman passing by on the street.
According to the indictment, as part of disturbances on Yehezkel Street in Jerusalem last December, the accused and others decided to set fire to a garbage container and block the street with it. In the evening, they set fire to a garbage container, pushed it hard and from different angles in order to move it from its place to the middle of the road.
Then the burning garbage container slid along the downward sloping road and a corner of the container forcefully hit a woman passing by. Following the blow, the woman collapsed on the sidewalk, and the defendant and the others fled the scene. As a result of the defendant's actions, the woman was evacuated to the hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit.
