Police thwarted a stabbing attack in the Old City of Jerusalem last night.

Officers stationed near Damascus Gate spotted a resident of the village of Rahat in her 30s who aroused their suspicion when she held her hand in her bag for a long time.

Soldiers who stopped her for questioning discovered a pair of scissors in the bag.
