The electronic tracking bracelet law is expected to come up tomorrow (Sunday) in the ministerial committee for legislative affairs.

The law will add conditions for imposing governmental tracking on an individual: the family member for whom the order is requested must have a previous conviction for a crime of violence, or such an indictment has been filed against him, or he has violated a previous protection order, and a risk assessment must be received for the person against whom a protection order is requested. If there is a real danger to life, the court may grant a protection order despite the absence of these preconditions.
