The Consul General of Israel in New York, Ofir Akunis, spoke on Sunday at a Yom Hashoah ceremony at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York and called on the world "not to behave the way they behaved in the 1930s".
"Although we thought we would not see the events of World War II again - we saw similar events on October 7. The free world must learn the lessons of the 1930s and not show weakness against the axis of evil," said Akunis.
