New Knesset member Yitzhak Kroizer from the Otzma Yehudit Party, who officially took office on Sunday after Heritage Minister Rabbi Amichai Eliyahu resigned from the Knesset as part of the Norwegian Law, came to strengthen the new Jewish community of Ramat Arbel, which is being built in the Galilee.

Ramat Arbel in the Galilee is the only Jewish community within the Green Line and is inhabited by four families who have to deal with the continuous demand of the legal authorities to evacuate them from their homes.

MK Kroizer said, "I am happy and excited to arrive on my first day in my position at the new town of Ramat Arbel. The time has come for us to strengthen the Jewish settlement in the Galilee, the time has come for us to establish settlements in all parts of the country. This is our country, we have no other country."

The coalition agreement between the Likud and Otzma Yehudit parties stipulates the establishment of a new town in the Galilee - Ramat Arbel. The agreement states that the government will pass a decision on the establishment of Ramat Arbel, and the person responsible for its establishment will be the Minister for the Development of the Negev and the Galilee and National Resilience on behalf of Otzma Yehudit, MK Yitzhak Wasserlauf.Ramat Arbel was established on legally purchased private Jewish land but despite this, the security forces raided the area and confiscated the trailers in which the families lived, leaving them with nothing.

The agreement also states that with the goal of settling the Galilee and the Negev and lowering the prices of apartments, the Prime Minister and the Minister for the Development of the Negev and the Galilee and National Resilience will table a government decision that will lower the prices of apartments in the Galilee and the Negev.
