Member of Knesset Ahmed Tibi (Hadash-Ta'al) criticized the operation today in the Jenin area.

Tibi claimed at a party meeting today (Monday) that "in 2002 the occupation army invaded Jenin, dozens were killed, murdered and injured. This did not cause the residents of Jenin to give up. Then, just two weeks ago, 7 Palestinians from Jenin were shot and killed by soldiers of the occupation."

"Jenin opposes invading soldiers. It is the natural way. It happened everywhere. In Africa, in Algeria against the French, in Vietnam against the Americans, in Central Africa against the Belgians," Tibi added.

He later lamented and said: "Look at what is happening today, there is overwhelming support for this invasion of Jenin, which involves killing, destruction, destruction of infrastructure and roads. It involves damage to the Freedom Theater - and the Likud, Ben-Gvir, National Unity, Yesh Atid and Labor - every party but one supports it. The Hadash-Ta'al party."

"The leaders of the protest also gave their encouragement and support to this invasion today. Demonstrating for democracy and against dictatorship in Tel Aviv, and clapping for the dictatorship of the occupation in Jenin." Tibi concluded by saying that "this is called a double standard."
