Bezalel Eliyahu Atias, a resident of Sderot, told Israel National News - Arutz Sheva that his wife miraculously avoided being killed by a rocket fired by terrorists in the Gaza Strip this afternoon (Tuesday).
"The terrorists deliberately chose to shoot during the time when the children are coming home from school. Just as my wife was leaving, she heard the Red Alert siren and a boom that shook the building," Atias said.
"I immediately arrived at the scene and saw that the situation in terms of property damage was not good. It looked to like 10 vehicles had been damaged in the parking lot, including my car. There was a smell of gasoline. In addition, the courtyard fences were smashed. There were no physical injuries at this scene, and we hope that no one was emotionally hurt. Unfortunately, the country is continuing as if nothing happened and it's business as usual. It's outrageous: they treat us like an abused wife who has to accept her beatings," he said.
At least 22 rockets were fired at Israel in a three-minute period Tuesday afternoon, four of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome system. Two rockets struck Sderot, injuring three foreign workers at a construction site. One of the workers was seriously injured, while the other two were lightly injured.
